A few months back we appealed to Swiftpage to deliver the ability to export and import email templates for our customers. The ability to transfer templates already existed for some time, but this required establishing an “agency” relationship with the customer and not all people were prepared (or able) to provide that. For instance, Keystroke has a worldwide reseller network, with many of them wanting to resell our graphic & template design services. Unfortunately, a reseller cannot have an agency relationship with another reseller.

With the recent release of Act! v23, Swiftpage has introduced support for exporting & importing Drag & Drop designed templates as json files (see illustration on the right), meaning they can be designed in our account and then emailed to you for importing into yours. Previously this import/export was only supported with the WYSIWYG editor, which was not available to all subscribers, and more complicated for editing afterwards. The drag & drop editor is not only easier to use for most people, but it guarantees mobile responsiveness when being sent as part of a campaign.

Eye popping professional designs often mean the difference between being read or ignored, and those decisions, as we said in the opening, are often made in less than one second by the recipient. Don’t invest thousands of dollars in Act! Marketing Automation only to suffer less return than possible due to uncompelling designs or messaging. What's more, if graphic design isn't your thing, most end up spending a lot of time producing inferior results.
