As the year comes to an end, it’s good to have some excitement for the next one, and 2024 has a lot in store for Act! users. Here are my top five reasons why you should be eager for the new year:
- Webhooks: This might seem a bit technical, but webhooks are essential for any kind of advanced CRM workflow, and Act! is planning to launch webhooks as a new feature of Act! Premium Cloud in the first quarter of 2024. This will enable us to create powerful business workflows with products like the Knowtifier that will make businesses more efficient and save them time. The best part is the new Knowtifier, which is expected to come out in mid-January, will work with both local and hosted databases, and will support webhooks as soon as they are available next year.
- Nylas: This is not an especially well-known feature of Act!, but it's expected to be released in February of next year for Act! Premium Cloud users, and will offer dramatically superior Outlook integration. New users will be able to set up cloud-based Outlook integration without the need for a plugin, meaning it will be accessible to Mac and PC users alike.
- New Act! Companion: That’s not its official name, but the successor of Act! Companion is expected to be rolled out for Act! Premium Cloud users in the first quarter, and once it’s out, it’s expected to get constant feature updates.
- Linktivity: We admit we’re a little partial here, but can you blame us? Act! will be offering exclusive discounts on Linktivity products to all Act! Premium Cloud users that will greatly enhance their Act! experience
- Keystroke Contact Manager: What’s that, you ask? The Keystroke Contact Manager (KCM) is a new Windows client that will be launched in the second week of January, and will offer unmatched convenience and flexibility for Act! Premium Cloud users. KCM will let APC users save time and money by using this Desktop client as an alternative to Act! Premium, so users can have fast, reliable, offline access to their data similar to Handheld Contact API. The difference with KCM is it syncs all the data via the Web API, and can be installed quickly and easily on almost any PC. We’re also developing it on a coding platform that will allow us to soon offer a new Mac client, as well.
If you noticed a common thread to all these points it’s that they all focus on Act! Premium Cloud. This is the future of Act! and it will receive the most investment in the coming months and years. For now, though, there is a lot to look forward to in the new year, which makes us very optimistic about 2024.
