CRM Powered Project Management takes the Labor out of Collaboration

Act! users excel in organization and task-oriented planning, but they don’t typically identify as “project managers.” This term often implies advanced training, certifications, and complex concepts like Gantt charts and critical paths. However, most projects are straightforward, involving goals, tasks, and people. Plans are created with clients, tasks are assigned, and collaboration ensures completion. Act! users approach projects by starting with the contact, then planning, and breaking it down into delegated tasks. This is precisely how Act! Advantage Project Management is designed. Act! Advantage Project Management features a user-friendly interface that guides you through a simple wizard to create your project:
  1. Select the contact(s): Use the search tool to find contacts from your database by contact, company, or email domain.
  2. Select users: Choose the Act! users from your team for task assignments, and delegate accordingly. Standard edition allows delegation of Contacts, and Team Edition allows users, as well.
  3. Organize the project in Act!: Act! Advantage Project Management creates an Opportunity in Act! where all tasks, participants, and contacts are organized. Progress is tracked under the Opportunity, with comments and task updates recorded as notes and histories in Act!.
  4. Task updates: Contacts get assigned a personalized link where they can post comments and clear tasks. Act! users in Team edition are assigned a personalized project session allowing them to comment, update, clear, and reschedule tasks. Act! user updates are written to the project and Act!, while Contact changes are written to the project, and queued for the Planner to commit to Act!.
  1. Project tracking: Project organizers can monitor team progress, add phases and tasks as needed, and use various project themes for better organization. They can also import from past projects or templates.
  2. Accountability: Share the project with Contacts through an online link for progress reviews. Act! users that are participants will see project updates through their shared session, and the Act! users who are not participants can check the linked Opportunity for progress reports and see the project activity history and completion percentage.
  3. Project management tools: Act! Advantage Project Management offers PM tools such as Gantt charts, goals, obstacles, reporting, and dashboards for Agile & Waterfall, all tailored for Act! users.

Emailed project alerts

Team planners can stay on top of project developments with emailed alerts whenever assignees clear a task or post a comment

Gantt chart for better project visualization

Visualize your project with Gantt charts that allow you to drag and drop scheduled sprints, while moving dependent tasks in lockstep for more efficient project management

Sharing projects with your contacts

Provide better team accountability with your clients by sharing the project's progress with them. These contacts can view what has been completed & what remains to be done, clear tasks that assigned to them, and read or write project comments.

Export projects to PKS, Excel, Pdf...

Share project details with other team members by exporting to Excel or PDF, and then export Act! Advantage Project Management file to PKS file format to be used with Project KickStart (sold separately)
