Keystroke is excited to announce that Act! LLC is scheduled to launch Canadian-domiciled servers for their Act! Premium Cloud (APC) on May 1st, 2023, with early testing expected mid-April. As the Canadian Master VAR for Act!, we're incredibly excited to announce this development.
Currently, Act! has APC servers in the USA, United Kingdom, Europe, and Australia, with Canada soon to be added as their third largest market.
This announcement will excite many Canadian-based industries that must host their CRM data domestically, such as those working in healthcare, finance, union locals, mortgages, and the public sector, to name a few. Often industry governing bodies for these industries prohibit the foreign hosting of data.
A few points to note about these servers in their initial launch:
- They will only include support for English-Canadian versions of Act! at this time. Francophone versions may become available later, but this initial launch will only support English versions.
- The Canadian servers will work identically to other regions with self-provisioning trials and account setup.
- Regional settings for provinces, postal codes, and CAD will be available for new clients. People uploading existing databases will be subject to the regional settings of those databases, which are based on the version that created them.
- For pricing consistency, the products listed will remain advertised in USD, but CAD conversions are available when ordered through a Canadian reseller.
