Keystroke is excited to announce that today Act! LLC launched their second Canadian-domiciled server this year for their Act! Premium Cloud (APC). The first was on May 1st, 2023 for English speaking Act! users, and this morning they launched French Canadian servers. As the Canadian Master VAR for Act!, we're incredibly excited to announce this development, and our French support techs participated in extensive beta testing of these new serves.
Act! now has APC servers in the USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Europe, and Australia. Canada is Act!'s third largest market.
This announcement will excite many French-speaking Canadian businesses that must host their CRM data domestically, such as those working in healthcare, finance, union locals, mortgages, and the public sector, to name a few. Often industry governing bodies for these industries prohibit the foreign hosting of data.
A few points to note about these servers in their initial launch:
- The English and French Canadian versions of Act! use just one application (IIS) Server with different application pools for each.
- Customers can check the service status of all Act! servers at status.act.com. Look under Act! Premium Cloud (MTA) for regional server details.
- The Canadian servers will work identically to other regions with self-provisioning trials and account setup.
- Regional settings for provinces, postal codes, and CAD will be available for new clients. People uploading existing databases will be subject to the regional settings of those databases, which are based on the version that created them.
- For pricing consistency, the products listed will remain advertised in USD, but CAD conversions are available when ordered through a Canadian reseller.
