I have a resolution to share with you as we approach the New Year. Every time a customer tells us they only use a small percentage of the Act! program, my team and I will take that as a personal challenge. We believe that these statements are rooted in defeatism and low expectations, and we must confound both.
At Keystroke.net, our mission statement has been to "inspire and support our client's ongoing success through quality business solutions". As the world's #1 Act! Reseller, we could easily take people's money and be done with it, but that doesn't align with our values.
Whether our customers fully utilize all the productivity features of Act!, or whether they use it as a "glorified Rolodex", the price they pay for the program is the same. This is why our focus is not on software sales or development but on business enablement. In other words, how can we make our customers' success with Act! easier? A goal that will be reflected in what we develop, how we sell, and the way we support.
As we approach our 30th anniversary in 2024, I am reminded of what got us here - our raison d'etre, which is supporting our customers' success. So, when we hear customers say they're committed to a low return on their investment in us, it'll be our challenge to make confounding those expectations a little easier.
Our reasons for this commitment are simple. When goals are actioned, expectations rise to meet them, which is why our mission statement in 2024 is changing to be "making your goals actionable". Yes, it has the word "act" in it, but more importantly the word "actionable" literally means "ready for use". Not by us, by you. This means our focus will be on the ease of use in our programs, improved support, better documentation & training, and perhaps most importantly, listening. Listening to your business goals, and helping to pave a road to them, together.
