Holiday greetings,

As the holidays approach, we’re moved to reflect on the year that has passed and the many changes (good and bad) that it ushered in.

Personally our kids got another year older (Victoria 9 and Lucas now 10), and our vacation with them this summer included two fun filled weeks in late August at Myrtle Beach. As you might guess, the beaches are stunning, as they run as far as the eye can see, and because the waters are so shark-infested, fossilized tooth hunting is a thing down there.

Lucas found the best one of the trip within the first few minutes.

If you’ve never had the opportunity to drive through Pennsylvania or West Virginia, I highly recommend it. Absolutely beautiful country.

On the business front, in 2019 we celebrated our 25^th Anniversary as a company, which was exciting, but not nearly as much as three of our staff (one in each office), getting pregnant. If having 10% of our workforce getting pregnant at the same time wasn’t exciting enough, all of them are due within the same 2-weeks in mid-January. To prepare, we’ve stocked up on cigars, and added two new staff, Christine & Courtney, to our Montreal team to help with the transition.

We also introduced a number of new products & services to the market (ie. Book2act, Act4mail, MailManager, etc.), but the biggest change came from Swiftpage, who moved all Act! subscribers towards a combined CRM and Marketing Automation platform. While I strongly believe the new Act! Growth Suite offers excellent value to customers, it was introduced differently than we would have chosen, and we regret the disruption this caused our loyal customers.

Looking forward, though, we’re very excited about 2020 as a number of our biggest projects are scheduled to be released in the first half of the year. More to come on that in the coming months.
