Exciting new Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) feature in Act! Premium Cloud (APC) - available to admins today!
For those unfamiliar with the term, Multi-Factor Authentication is a multi-step authentication process that provides an additional layer of security to prevent unauthorized account access. It works by requiring users to enter a unique numerical code sent to them via text message, in addition to their username and password, when logging into Act!.
MFA is quickly becoming the standard to business software authentication, with many corporate insurance companies requiring it for continued coverage.
Why is Multi-Factor Authentication important?
- Security - MFA prevents unauthorized account access even if a user’s username and password have been compromised.
- Compliance - MFA is required in certain businesses and industries to comply with data protection and privacy regulations.
