When Act! Premium Cloud (APC) was first introduced as a SaaS product three years ago, and the pricing was super simple - $30/month billed annually. The storage policy, on the other hand, was not so simple. With APC, you'd get 6GB of base storage, and overages were calculated at $60/year for each additional 4 GB. As you might guess, with increments of 4GB and multipliers of $60 after a free base of 6GB, many people were forced to pull out their calculators when guessing their total CRM costs.
To their credit, last fall Act! introduced quantity discounts to make the program more affordable, but that didn't help the complexity of the math. It made the math harder.
Well, after analyzing the database sizes of all customers currently hosted by Act!, they made three major changes that Act! will reduce the storage costs for Act! Premium Cloud customers:
- APC will now include 15GB of storage per account, up from 6GB.
- Each incremental unit of storage will now be 5GB, up from 4GB.
- Pricing per additional increment has been reduced at each volume level
- 1-5 units extra will cost $4/month ($48 annually per account)
- 6-10 units extra will cost $3/month ($36 annually per account)
- 11+ units extra will cost $2/month ($24 annually per account)
The new storage thresholds will be reflected in-product beginning April 1, and customers will be automatically migrated to the new pricing schedule at their next renewal. Customers with extremely large databases may also wish to consult with the our Customer Success team at Keystroke to get free tools and tips to reduce database size before migrating to APC.
With these changes, Act! Premium Cloud is now more accessible and cost-effective than ever, making it an opportune time for users to make the switch.
