Last year when Act! discontinued their Community page, we knew that Act! users world wide would need another place to come together and ask questions about the product they love. Act! has, after all, been around for 35 years, and has built a loyal following for almost two generations. 

It is for this reason that we approached the owner of the LinkedIn group, Act! Fanatics, and asked him if he'd be interested in selling it to us. The owner was none other than the tireless Mike Lazarus, known across the globe for his Act! expertise. Mike had worked with our support team before after the protexis surge in late 2018, and was our Handheld Contact distributor in the Asia Pacific for a number of years. This level of familiarity made the negotiations quick and easy, and we've been managing this group since early spring of 2022.

We've kept the news of this acquisition relatively quiet, but this group proved very useful with the Act! security announcement in April to get the word out massively. The Act! Fanatics group is comprised of almost 3200 members that include Act! users, employees, certified consultants, and even both Act! founders - Pat Sullivan and Mike Muhney.

Act! Fanatics is by far the largest group of it's kind for Act! users anywhere, and a place where people come together to help each other Act! Better.
