At the end of 2020 Keystroke launched a fundraising initiative through CanadaHelps.org to help feed this country's hungry. As you might guess, the pandemic had left many families in need, and this initiative raised thousands of dollars for these worthy causes. Like all good intentions, enthusiasm waned over time, and our focus naturally returned to our own families and businesses. Unfortunately, the need for food banks in this country not only remains high, but has increased to record levels. The rapid rise in food prices, rental rates, and inflation, in general, has made this situation much worse than before.

This is why we've signed up to make monthly donations to Second Harvet and DailyBread, and yesterday we made our first of many. The buying power of these two organizations allows them to feed 500-1000 people per month with our donations alone, which is much more than could be accomplished with individual food donations. What's more, it takes no effort on our part to keep these automatic donations flowing, meaning our good intentions will never be subordinated by the demands of the present.

Keystroke is somewhat unique with our thirty-plus employees spread across Canada, the United States, and India, but we've never forgotten our Canadian roots. As the Master VAR for Act! in Canada, we feel a duty to help the local communities we're blessed to call our own.

Where ever you are, we hope you'll consider doing the same for those in your community. It's bad enough so many people have to swallow their pride to reach out to food banks for something to eat. Let's make sure those food bank services have enough food to give.
