Please note, Act! will be upgrading the Act! Premium Cloud servers to SQL Server 2019 on Thursday, November 14th at 11:00pm ET. The estimated downtime is approximately three hours.
Act! Premium Cloud subscribers:
- For customers with the ability to sync, and are using SQL Server 2017 or earlier locally: Act! Premium Cloud subscribers that utilize desktop synchronization should take note. We strongly recommend ensuring all of your current desktop instances are using SQL Server 2019 in response to Microsoft’s deprecation of security support for Microsoft SQL Server 2014.
Any NEW Act! remote databases that are created following our scheduled server upgrade MUST be using SQL Server 2019, or they will not be able to sync to Act! Premium Cloud. To find out which version of SQL Server you are using, and for instructions to upgrade, click here.
Please note, Act! v26 will automatically upgrade your desktop SQL Server instance to SQL Server 2019. If you have already upgraded to Act! v26, no additional action is required. - For customers with the ability to sync, and are using SQL Server 2019 or later: No action is required. Present and future sync databases will continue to support SQL 2019
- For customers with no sync: No action is required, aside from a service disruption on November 14th between 11PM - 2AM ET.
