Last fall Swiftpage announced that all Act! subscription customers would be "remapped" to a Growth Suite tier in 2020, and that current subscribers had the opportunity to pay a small proration fee right away to get Marketing Automation on their account immediately and lock-in a lower preferred rate. Many of our customers took advantage of this deal, but many declined. The general consensus amongst those that declined was that they preferred a real choice, and not one that was forced upon them.
It seems the new Swiftpage management agrees with them, and they're changing their policy.
Starting April 1st mandatory Growth Suite migrations will end, and all subscriptions renewing from Q2 through Q4 2020 will be renewed under last year's Act! Premium subscription terms unless, of course, they opted to enable Growth Suite on their account last fall. Small annual increases will be implemented as they always have, but otherwise, these subscription accounts will be left unchanged.
As proponents of "choice", we at Keystroke applaud this decision. As strongly as we believe in the value of Act! Growth Suite, these account options should remain "options", and be limited to those choosing to pay for them - not made a mandatory cost of Act! membership.
The net effect of this policy change is existing customers will be left alone, and the November decision to cease the sale of Act! Premium is reversed. New or returning customers that sign-up for Act! Subscription will get Act! Premium desktop, and Act! Marketing Automation will be available as an upgrade. Tentatively, Swiftpage plans to return to charging the old AMA rates from prior to April 2019 (namely $79/month for Professional, $199/month for Premier, and $399/month for Ultimate) for new accounts.
Those eligible for "Winback" promotional pricing will get the same Act! Premium desktop offering, but at a slightly better price. In the meantime, customers can click HERE to find a listing of all Act! products currently available for sale on our online store.
