FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can an Act! Advantage subscriber move between tiers during their subscription? Yes, subscribers may move up to a higher tier of Act! Advantage at any time. Downgrading tiers or reducing users or add-ons may only take place at renewal.
Are multi-year subscriptions available for Act! Advantage subscribers? Yes, 1,2,3, and 5 year subscriptions are available for all tiers of Act! Advantage.
What happens to Act! Premium Cloud when Act! Advantage launches? Act! Premium Cloud subscribers will remain on APC until they eventually migrate to Act! Advantage. They can continue to purchase APC add-ons (Enhanced Support, Custom Tables, etc.) and will continue to renew on APC rate plans until they migrate. They will not see the new features or change pricing models until a transition occurs.
When you add multiple extras to Act! Advantage Standard, it can be more expensive than moving upstream to Act! Advantage Professional or Act! Advantage Ultimate, why? Correct! Customer are encouraged to move into the higher tiers of Act! Advantage where they will get significantly more value in terms of base features, email send allotments, cloud storage, and much more.
Several of the APC add-on products are the same price in the base tier, Act! Advantage Standard, why? By keeping both the base user price of APC and Advantage Standard the same (eg: $30/mo USD), as well as add-ons such as Enhanced Support, AMA, and Custom Tables, it enables seamless migration for APC customers who ultimately move to Act! Advantage Standard. They will simply receive the exclusive new product features with no change in price. APC customers who elect to migrate to the Professional or Ultimate tiers of Act! Advantage will need a custom quote to determine their best option, as the pricing depends on their unique combination of users and add-ons.
What product will the free trial be going forward? In regions where Act! Advantage has launched, the free trial will be Act! Advantage Ultimate. Certain features such as sending SMS messages, email list scans, & bulk emails have been throttled to prevent abuse.
Is there special pricing for users migrating from a perpetual license or former subscribers who return (6+ mo) as there is today for Desktop and APC? Yes! There are special prices for the first year of Act! Advantage for all tiers. The reduced prices (for year 1) are similar to what is offered today on Desktop and APC for these groups.

Understanding Act! Subscription
- Act! subscription totals (number of licenses) can be increased mid-term, and you will only be billed the prorated amount due until your next renewal date, at which time you will be billed the annual amount for your new subscription total
- Subscription totals can only be decreased at the time of renewal, and account reductions cannot exceed 75% of the current seat count.
- Act! Premium Cloud does not offer perpetual plans due to the ongoing hosting commitment
- As of April 1st, 2019, Act! discontinued the practice of offering quantity discounts on sales of 5+ seats. Legacy customers will continue to be grandfathered with their quantity discounts, but additional seat purchases would be purchased at their existing subscription rate, and additional purchases could not entitle them to further quantity discounts if they moved into a new pricing tier under the old quantity discount system.
